Cast Announcement

We’re thrilled to announce the cast for our upcoming autumn production of Prime Time. Jo Gleave will direct Souad Faress, Linda Hargreaves and our Artistic Director Janice Connolly.

Souad Faress

Linda Hargreaves

Linda trained at the Birmingham School of Acting.

Theatre credits include: The Yellow Doctress, West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Lost Hancocks, British Library.

TV and film credits include: Brassic (Sky 1), Doctors (BBC), Bodyguard (BBC), Raised By Wolves (C4), Vera (ITV), Mad To Be Normal (Gizmo Films), Elizabeth Is Missing (BBC Films).

Linda writes and produces her own comedy shows on YouTube and has performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Birmingham Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Manchester and Wolverhampton Comedy Festival. She is a regular guest on BBC Radio WM in various comedy slots.

Linda will be providing her comic vocal talents in the forthcoming national tour of The Navy Lark in 2020.

Janice Connolly BEM

Janice is a founder member of Women & Theatre and has been the Artistic Director for the past 25 years. She has written, directed and performed in very many projects for the company.

Janice also has a very successful freelance career as a comedy actress and as comedy circuit headliner, Mrs Barbara Nice. She reached the semi finals of this year’s Britain Got Talent. She has previously been seen as Holy Mary in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights on Channel 4, Dead Man Weds on ITV and Thin Ice on BBC2. She has played two roles in Coronation Street, first appearing as Peter Kay’s mother in 2004 and then as Sheila Wheeler in the Kabin with Norris in 2009. At Birmingham Repertory Theatre she has performed in Tartuffe and Anita and Me.
