Women & Theatre is looking for women to volunteer on a new project from late April – mid July 2020.

THE PROJECT:

Track & Field – theatre performance

From April 2020 we will be working with community members in Perry Barr and the surrounding areas to research, develop & rehearse a new piece of community theatre in Perry Park. Celebrating women’s involvement in & connection with different sports, particularly those linked to the theme of Track & Field, the content of the performance will be developed from research – inspired by the stories, experiences and memories of local women. Four shows performed by an intergenerational community cast of local women will take place in July 2020; audiences will watch live scenes whilst listening to the show’s audio on headphones.

The role

The volunteer will work alongside the creative team and be actively involved in supporting participants in recording the script, in rehearsals and during live performances. They will help  to create, document and monitor work and be line managed by W&T Lead Artist Practitioner.
