W&T at Parliamentary Reception

Posted on Jul 14, 2015

We were delighted to be invited by Heritage Lottery Fund to a Parliamentary Reception last week at the House of Commons to speak about our WWI projects, The Chocolate Soldiers, and Women’s Work: Stories of the factory workers.  Scheduled for budget day, HLF were encouraging all new MPs to come and hear about their First World War: Then and Now funding strand, which has currently invested over £7 million to 899 projects, and continues funding until 2019.  We had a wonderful time speaking to government officials, HLF Board members and invited guests about our heritage strand – and enjoyed a quick break on the terrace before heading back to Brum!IMG_1036
