Boys Talk Public performance: May 23
Boy’s Talk
May 23, mac birmingham
This Saturday, Women & Theatre will present a new piece of devised theatre created as part of our current project Boys Talk.
The production, staged in mac birmingham’s Outdoor Arena, will be an engaging celebration of male communication utilising movement, drama and spoken word.
Over the past few months we have worked with a talented group of adolescent males bringing together Looked After boys (via SWIIS Foster Care), boys who have experienced bereavement (via Edwards Trust) and boys from Elmhurst School for Dance.
Inspired by the desire to understand the motivations and concerns of young men living in Birmingham, Boys Talk explores the how, when, where and why of adolescent communication.
The production has been led by the young people involved, working with W&T’s Artistic Director Janice Connolly, Choreographer Jerrel Jackson and Stage Manager Liam Walsh and produced in association with mac birmingham
