Community Performers Wanted- Women in Lockdown

Posted on Jul 7, 2020

Women & Theatre are looking for community participants for Women in Lockdown, a digital performance to highlight the experiences of and impact on women in this unique moment in history. We’ve spoken to women across Birmingham and the Black Country and will take inspiration from these women’s experiences to create an online performance involving an ensemble community cast of women. This will be recorded and edited into a short film for online broadcast in October 2020.

We will be working remotely online via Zoom, with some potential for socially distanced filming. We are looking for women who would like to be involved in our “Zoom Chorus” and/or some smaller group and individual sequences. The piece will be mainly non verbal and will feature ensemble movement and a song.  You do not need to have any previous experience of performing, just the desire to be part of a fun and creative project
