Through The Window is a project born out of the restrictions lockdown presented to us as a theatre company. Women & Theatre have a long history of taking work into residential settings, due to COVID-19 restrictions we wanted to find away we could continue to create live work whilst abiding by social distancing rules.

Through The Window is a performance which takes place outside of residential settings, with the audience watching inside through the window. The piece is a playful two hander between a gardener and a window cleaner, a funny light-hearted, slapstick performance where the audience are transported to different places without having to leave their seat. Originally funded by Arts Council England and the GJW Turner Trust, and supported by MAC, Through the Window, was performed at Meadow Rose Nursing Home and Coney Green Residential Home in May 2021. You can watch a film about the project below.
