Giving Tuesday 30 November 2021

Posted on Nov 29, 2021

Giving Tuesday is a day where everyone, everywhere can do something to support the good causes that mean so much to them. It’s a day to give something back by supporting a charity close to your heart.

Did you know Women & Theatre is a charity? Despite the challenges presented to us by COVID-19 we never closed during lockdown, moving our work online and continuing to engage the communities we work with across Birmingham and beyond.

This autumn, as in person events have started up again, we have been busy working on a range of exciting projects across the city. All the courses, projects and workshops we deliver are free at the point of access which enables us to work with people who otherwise would not be able to participate.

We also employ many Birmingham-based freelancers and play a vital role in the local theatre ecology. We receive no core funding and this Giving Tuesday we are asking people to consider making a one-off or regular donation to help support the work we do and allow us to keep making deep work about things that matter.
